Hiked volcan Barva yesterday: beautiful, long, green, satisfying, and exhausting.
We kind of started our day not really knowing exactly how we were going to get there but by asking many people, back tracking, walking, running into a woman who was waiting for the same bus that we wanted( which was really well marked by a post with no signs or anything-like most of the bus stops here)we got to the road leading to the rangers stating. After a two hour hike up the road to the ranger station we were ready for actual trails. Everything was very green, and all different kinds of flowers were blooming everywhere. Not much of a view because it was cloudy but still worth the work. Pelo de Gato a little. Got pretty muddy at some parts. I saw the largest hummingbird that I've ever seen. And to top it all off we walked the whole way down- even though we had many offers to pile in the back of a truck to reach the bottom.
