I love juice. When I first got here and my host mom asked me if I wanted juice with my breakfast I said I was okay(thinking of the non pulp orange juice that I drink every once in a while only when the other options are less than enticing, i´m sorry roomies but pulp will always have my heart) Then I tasted some delicious juice during dinner and was hooked. I never was a really big fan of drinking a liquid during a meal but things have changed. I usually don´t really know what i´m drinking but it includes one of the many delicious fruits that i´ve been enjoying every day- thick, full of natural fruit, and just down right good. Guanavana is my favorite-no it´s not the same as guayava- I think that I might have had in Mexico, maybe? One of those distinct tastes.
I went to El Museo del Banco today to write a description of some pieces of art there. I traveled there solo, gave myself enough time to kind of wander and find the place where I was to meet my tica friends- Diana and Aura( I can now say that we are friends because we shared the very back of the bus together for the ride home from san jose and talked the whole way). On the way there though I was kinda just crossing my fingers hoping that I´d find the meeting spot, what do you know I got there sin problema(I did ask the bus driver which direction I should start walking once I was off the bus) What a city! people everywhere, I enjoyed wandering. And I love speaking spanish.
ciao for now
Everyone says ciao here.
it would be interesting to figure out how and when a piece of italian language came to be spoken here(if you have any insite please enlighten me:)
I love hearing the details of your new adventure Alyssa, so keep writing about it all-I'm praying that soon you'll connect with a body of Costa Rican believers!
ReplyDeleteI love juice too! I have one friend and every time we hang out we just get juice. Apricot juice to be exact :) When you get back we can drink juice, but we will have to find some delicious juice. Or maybe squeeze our own!
ReplyDeleteguanava is such a delish fruit.. isn't it the one that looks like snot? ... mmm. it makes me just want to sneeze food out onto my hand and then..... hahahah
ReplyDeletei'm loving costa rica through you, takes me back to good ol' ecuador days.
just so you know, I've always been a pulp advocate, so i'm feeling a little wrongly accused.
